About me

I am a Post-Doc Researcher at NOVA Laboratory for Computer Science and Informatics (NOVA LINCS) and an Invited Assistant Professor at the Department of Computer Science of Faculdade de Ciências e Tecnologia, Universidade Nova de Lisboa.

I was born in Lisbon, Portugal, in January 1981. I graduated in Applied Mathematics and Computation (LMAC) at IST in July 2004.

In September 2008 I got my PhD in Mathematics at IST, under the supervision of Carlos Caleiro, with the thesis Behavioral Algebraization of Logics.

My current main research interests are within the area of Artificial Intelligence, more specifically on Knowledge Representation and Reasoning, Logic Programming and Non-Monotonic Reasoning.
Recently, my focus has been on the problem of combining heterogeneous sources of knowledge and streams of information, and also on the problem of forgetting in Answer Set Programming.
